Dresses for Girls

Ladies Show Up, Then Sew-Up

A dozen ladies showed up at El Centro's First Christ Christian Church on Saturday morning, August 5,  to sew, cut, hem, trim and fashion pillowcases and fabric into 30 dresses for girls in Ngora/Kumi, Uganda.  Plus, the ladies took another 30 nearly completed dresses with them to be finished at home.

Turning pillowcases and fabric into lovely dresses is how BBiUganda provides young village girls in this area with beautiful dresses.  For many it is the only dress they have that isn't ripped and torn.

We try to distribute at least 100 dresses to village girls nearest each BBiUganda funded deep-water well sites.

Nancie's volunteers have already created over 300 dresses for our next trip in February, 2018 and we're just in August.
