GOAT PROJECT

The goal of the goat project is to give impoverished youth a chance to move out of poverty, if they have the initiative to do so. As of 2024, 1800 youth in 18 villages have been able to participate in this life-changing project.

We stress herd development so these youth can enjoy the long-term benefits of a growing asset. After two years, they may own 8 or 9 goats; 7 of which can be sold in order to purchase a calf. Later, some livestock can be sold to pay for higher education fees. Many other life-options will be available to them in the coming years.
