MICRO-LOANS

One of the ways to enhance economic opportunities for villagers is to support the creation of small businesses via micro-loans. As of the end of 2023, about xxxx groups have been formed in our ministry area. The groups meet each week, members bring their small savings amounts to contribute to the group's lending pool.

As the pool grows, the group makes small short-term loans to members primarily for business purposes. Loans are paid back with interest and the proceeds are re-loaned to other members.

Eric Sabiit recently hired a micro-loan specialist to coordinate activities across all of the current groups.
