Goat Project

The Goat Project continues to be a very successful one for fighting poverty and promoting higher education for village youth. We toured several villages that participated in the startup 7 or 8 years ago.  We met one young man who now has 8 cows. The key to the program’s success is the emphasis on herd development rather than using goats as a source of food. We also visited two village that conducted their first “rollover”.  This is when youth who received an initial goat, gift a female goat to another youth in their village. Village leaders continue to extoll the virtues of this project. Hundreds of lives are being changed, all starting with one female goat. We praise God and our donors for making this happen.
