Medical Beneficiary

In March, our visits with a number of BBI medical beneficiaries truly highlighted the profound impact of our donors' generosity on the lives of critically ill individuals. In several heartbreaking instances, and before Eric Sabiit and BBI got involved, some families were told by Tororo Hospital to take their loved ones home due to an inability to afford further care. Yet, when Eric and Burning Bush (BBI) stepped in, the outlook for these patients changed drastically.

Currently, 15 patients are receiving medical care funded by BBI and, during our visit, we had the privilege of meeting with 8 of them. The gratitude expressed by these families for BBI’s unwavering support and compassion was deeply moving. It is a testament to the transformative power of this ministry and the hope it continues to bring to those in need.

One example is 1.5-year-old James Osuku. While receiving treatment at a hospital for malaria and malnutrition, a nurse left a tourniquet on his arm overnight, leading to a severe infection. Thanks to subsequent medical care and physical therapy funded by BBI, James is gradually regaining use of his arm and hand, though further therapy will be required.
